How to de-restrict your Dillenger ebike

IMPORTANT: Please check your local regulations regarding power output and speed limiters before making these changes.

If you've got a Street-Legal Dillenger E-Bike Kit it's very easy to de-restrict it following the instructions in the user manual for the Bafang C965 controller, which the Dillenger kit is using.

You will probably already be familiar with the settings menu, accessible by holding down the + and - buttons on the controller simultaneously.

All you need to do is hold these again once when you are in the menu to reach the password protected menu where we can remove the speed limiter.

The password is 0512

To enter the password when prompted use the + and - buttons to select the digit and use the power button as return to lock that digit in.

You are now in the advanced menu where you can make changes to your wheel size, voltage, pedal assist levels and most importantly for our purposes here, change the speed limit.

Just like when we entered the password + and - cycle the options and power button is return to confirm a value.

For those in the UK, you are allowed to ride up to 250W restricted to assistance up to 15.5MPH on the road.
